For almost 30 years, Evergreen has earned the community's trust by serving older adults from Ottawa and Allegan Counties with compassion and excellence. Our in-home program started in the mid-1980's with our homemaking and care coordination services.
Ten years later, the Nutritional Services for Older Americans (NSOA) Home-Delivered Meal program was relocated from a garage on the north side of Holland to Evergreen. A few years later, many Evergreen members who were confined to their home were asked if the wonderful meals prepared at Evergreen could be delivered to them. As a result, the private-pay home-delivered meal program originated. As of July 2015 we have partnered with AgeWell Services (NSOA program) to provide both the private pay and income-based meals delivered by Evergreen's trusted group of volunteers.
In-home respite services were initiated in the early part of 2000 through a Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Grant. This program grew rapidly as the Greater Holland Community requested personal care, homemaking and respite services. We are now serving over 300 clients and have 45+ direct care staff.
Care Services of Evergreen is committed to connecting individuals with the resources that enable them to attain and maintain their highest level of independence and functioning. Our focus is to assist individuals age in place or in the residence of their choice as long as they are able. This includes assuring that they are able to have any services (or other support) they might need over time as their needs change.
