Hearing & Hearing Aid Clinic

Karen Laisure, Hearing Care Practitioner from Beltone, will clean hearing aids, check for ear health, clean ears as needed, and administer a hearing screenings. Free and no reservations required.

2nd Thursday of the month, 10:00–11:30 p.m. in the Music Room
Last Monday of the month, 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. in the Commons Room,
with John Ackerman, Lakeshore Hearing Centers

 


Foot Care Clinic

Nurses come to Evergreen Commons each month to trim toenails and assess nails and feet. To attend the Foot Care Clinic, you must call 355-5153 to schedule your appointment. We allow time to assist 20 persons each time, so if you are unable to keep your Foot Care Clinic appointment, please call 355-5153 so we may schedule someone else.
Please bring a basin for soaking your feet, a towel, your own clippers, and an emery board.

1st & 3rd Thursdays, 1:00–2:30 p.m. in the Artisan Studio
Fee: $7 members, $12 non-members


Blood Pressure Checks

A nurse is available to take blood pressure readings and talk with you. Please wear a loose–fitting shirt, set aside 10 to 15 minutes for relaxation before your reading, and contact your physician if you have a high reading (more than 150/90).

Thursdays, 10:00–11:00 a.m. in the Board Room

There is also a blood pressure machine, located near the Fitness Center, which is available for use any time the building is open.


Eyeglass Cleaning & Repair

We are pleased to welcome staff from Sight Eye Clinic/Sight Optical, Steven Borgman, Optician, to help us with our Eyeglass Clinic. These wonderful volunteers will assess, clean, and repair your glasses as necessary.

1st Thursday of the month, 1:00 - 2:30 p.m. in the Artisan Studio
