"20-20-20"

20 minutes of heart pumping cardiovascular conditioning, 20 minutes of body strengthening exercises to challenge the major muscle groups, and 20 minutes of core conditioning and rejuvenating flexibility exercises for peace of mind, body, and soul.
Mondays, 5:15 - 6:15 p.m. in the Auditorium


"50-50"

30 minutes of gentle low impact aerobics followed by 30 minutes of mat work. A great way to ease into shape.

Arthritis Foundation Exercise Class

A low impact program designed to help with joint and muscle problems to increase mobility, muscle strength, and endurance.

Basic Rhythms for Balance and Strength

Anyone is welcome to attend this rhythm-based approach to balance and flexibility though it is especially effective for Parkinson's patients. This class is taught by Maxine DeBruyn, Hope College Dance Dept. Chair.

Better Bones

This 8 week class will help you strengthen your muscles and benefit your bones at the same time. It's never too late to prevent or slow the onset of osteoporosis.

Body Strength Class

A 45 minute class that focuses on strengthening and toning all the major muscle groups. Weights, tubing, and other resistance equipment is used to challenge you and make you stronger.

Cardio Core

Strengthen your core muscles and improve your cardiovascular endurance through low impact moves. This class is designed to burn calories and fat while building strength, stamina, and balance.

Chair Exercise

A well-balanced program using a chair for support.
Mon - Wed - Fri, 10:00 - 10:45 a.m. in the Seminar Room


Chair Yoga

A gentle and accessible approach to yoga with a chair for support.
Wednesdays, 1:30 - 2:30 p.m. in the Auditorium


Cross Training

35 minutes low-impact aerobics, 10 minutes weight resistance.
Tuesdays & Thursdays, 8:05 - 8:50 a.m. in the Auditorium


Gentle Jive

Fun low impact aerobics choreographed to songs you grew up with.
Mon - Wed - Fri, 9:00 - 9:45 a.m. in the Auditorium


Healthy Life Weigh

With this group support program, you will learn what to eat to achieve and maintain a healthy weight and how to make physical activity a regular part of your life. This ten week program will change your life!!

Matter of Balance

This award winning 8 week program designed to help reduce the fear of falling and increase the activity levels of those who have concerns about falls.

Parkinson's Exercise Class

Support of a chair used for seated and standing exercises.

Pilates

Work abs, glutes, back, and hips in this 60 minute class to tighten, tone, and improve your balance.

Pi-Yo Fusion

A fusion of Yoga (flexibility) and Pilates (core strengthening).
Wednesdays, 8:45 - 9:45 p.m. in the Seminar Room


TaeKwonDo for Seniors

Progress at your own pace and ability level as you learn practical self-defense, low impact techniques, and personal achievement. A class well-suited to arthritis sufferers and taught by Diana Elliott, 4th degree Black Belt Master Instructor.
Fridays, 11:00 - 12:00 noon in the Artisan Studio


Tai Chi for Arthritis - Part I

This class, with certified instructor Patrick Price, is designed to deliver maximum relief from pain and stiffness, benefit your health, and improve relaxation. No prior knowledge is necessary!

Tai Chi for Arthritis - Part II
